陳焯華畢業於香港演藝學院科藝學院，主修劇場燈光設計。現為香港演藝學院舞台及製作藝術學院科藝製作系⾼級講師 (燈光設計)*。

⾃1997年起與非常林奕華長期合作，經常參與香港藝術節、神戲劇場、中英劇團、綠葉劇團、三⾓關係、香港話劇團及香港芭蕾舞團等的製作；⼜為演唱會及展覽設計燈光。

陳⽒獲獎設計包括，2023北京 • 天橋⾳樂劇年度盛典 - 年度優秀⾳樂劇燈光 《⽩夜⾏》(上海染空間)、香港舞台劇獎最佳燈光設計 - 2023年第31屆香港藝術節《我們最快樂》、2019年第29屆中英劇團《羅⽣⾨》、2008年第18屆香港話劇團《梨花夢》，其他獎項包括 2017上海 • 靜安現代戲劇⾕壹戲劇⼤賞年度最佳舞台美術類（燈光設計）(非常林奕華《紅樓夢》)、及香港舞蹈年獎2019傑出燈光設計 (香港舞蹈團 《紫⽟成煙》)。

近期作品包括，北京央華時代《戎夷之衣》、王菀之《天⾊》、香港芭蕾舞團《香奈兒：潮流教主傳奇⼀⽣》、英皇娛樂《最後禮物》、綠葉劇團《#1314》及上海染空間⾳樂劇《⼈間失格》。

Billy graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in theatre lighting design. He is currently the Senior Lecturer (Lighting Design) at HKAPA’s School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts, Media Design and Technology Dept.*.

Since 1997, he has collaborated with Edward Lam Dance Theatre, Hong Kong Arts Festival, Dionysus Contemporary Theatre, Chung Ying Theatre, Théâtre dela Feuille, Trinity Theatre, Hong Kong Repertory Theatre and Hong Kong Dance Company, in addition to pop concerts and exhibitions.

He was recently awarded Outstanding Musical Lighting Design at the BeijingTianqiao Musical Annual Ceremony 2023 for Into the White Night by Ran Space Shanghai, the Best Lighting Design at the 31st Hong Kong Drama Awards for We Are Gay by HKAF in 2023. His other accolades include Best Stage Art (Lighting Design) at the 2017 Shanghai Jing’an Modern Drama Valley One Drama Awards (What is Sex? by ELDT), Best Lighting Design at the Hong Kong Drama Awards (2008 Secret of Resurrection by HKREP and 2019 Rashomon by Chung Ying Theatre) and Outstanding Lighting Design at the Hong Kong Dance Awards(Waiting Heart by HKDC).

Recent works include Magnificent Culture Beijing The Coat of Rongyi, Ivana Music Limited Skylight, Hong Kong Ballet Coco Chanel: the Life of a FashionIcon, Emperor Entertainment Group One Last Gift, Théâtre de la Feuille #1314 and Shanghai Ran Space original musical No Longer Human.
