Renowned Hong Kong stage designer Ewing Chan passed away on 5 January 2014. Deeply saddened by the passing of Ewing, the performing arts community published “Book of Ewing” to showcase his outstanding works and unique gifts for stage design.
In memory of the immense contribution made by Ewing to the Chinese performing arts community, the book collected about 100 stage design photos together with articles written by renowned artists and creative collaborators who had worked closely with Ewing, such as Pak Suet Sin, Fredric Mao and Edward Lam. The book also aims to reveal to readers the undying passion of a designer in his aesthetic pursuit for stage, and encourage those who share an ambition for stage design.
