畢業於英國倫敦密德薩斯大學「東/西方劇場研究」碩士課程，為香港資深舞台技術管理人員。過往三十多年先後出任香港藝術中心劇場技術管理、香港演藝學院助理製作經理、赫墾坊劇團製作經理、香港藝術節技術統籌等工作。九四年獲「香港戲劇協會」頒發「十年後台貢獻獎」。1995 年加入城市當代舞蹈團任製作經理，現為舞團技術總監，曾負責舞團過百個節目之技術監督及世界各地三十多個城市巡演之技術統籌工作。此外林氏亦活躍於中國內地的主要舞蹈節，並由 2004–2017 年出任【北京舞蹈雙周】及【廣東現代舞周】技術總監。
林氏現為香港演藝學院舞台及製作藝術學院校外顧問委員會成員。

Anther graduated with a master's degree in “East/West Theatre Studies” from the Middlesex University, UK, has over 30 years’ experience in senior technical and production management. He has worked in the Hong Kong Arts Centre, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (APA), Exploration Theatre and Hong Kong Arts Festival, before he joined the City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC) in 1995. In 1994, Anther was awarded the Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies' Ten Years Outstanding Achievement Award. He was the Technical Director of Beijing Dance Festival and Guangdong Dance Festival since 2004 until 2017. He is a member of the External Advisors Committee for APA's School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts.
