The Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space is the world’s largest exhibition in the field of scenography and theatre architecture. The first PQ took place in 1967, and since then every four years it welcomes representatives from more than 70 countries around the world to Prague.
The most recent Prague Quadrennial in 2011 lasted 10 days, included more than 500 live performances, attracted nearly 50,000 visitors from around the world and took place in more than 30 spaces around the city. The main exhibition space inhabits a total area of approximately 12,000 square meters, where more than 1,000 artists and students from around the world can present their work.
The upcoming 13th edition of the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space will be held in June 2015 and the main theme is SharedSpace: Music, Weather Politics 2013 – 2016, which is common for international project the PQ is organizing in cooperation with 13 European partners. The core of the project are symposia, meetings and exhibitions throughout Europe and the project will culminate at Prague Quadrennial in June 2015 in Prague.
